- The Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 02 intends to solicit from a single source IAW FAR 13.106-1(b) to obtain annual preventative maintenance for Alaris Infusion Pumps. Period of performance: 10/10/2022 through 10/09/2023 Basic description of the requirement: CareFusion Solutions, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Becton Dickinson and Company (BD) is the exclusive manufacturer of Alaris® products and software. Additionally, CareFusion Solutions LLC. is the sole company capable of performing installation and maintenance. CareFusion Solutions, LLC has not authorized any other company to provide the software maintenance support programs (Optimization or Software Management Services) to Alaris® System users. CareFusion Solutions, LLC will provide all resources (labor, equipment, travel, parts, and services) necessary to accomplish the full annual preventive maintenance of (266) Alaris PC model 8015 units, (427) LVP 8100 Alaris Infusion Pumps, (40) 8110 Infusion Pump Syringe pumps, (21) Alaris 8120 Infusion Pump PCA. Manufacturer System Name BD Alaris Carefusion Infusion Pump PC, LVP Infusion pump, Infusion Pump Syringe, Infusion Pump PCA Place of Performance: James J. Peters VA Medical Center Biomedical Engineering, Room 6A05 130 West Kingsbridge Road Bronx, NY 10468 The NAICS code for this requirement is 811219 Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance (Size Standard $22 Million). Intended Source: CareFusion Solutions, LLC 3750 Torrey View CT San Diego, CA 92130-2622 THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by August 5, 2022, at 5:00PM Eastern Standard Time (EST). The Department of Veterans Affairs will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice of intent. Only written responses from responsible sources will be considered. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award. Interested parties are encouraged to furnish information by email only with RESPONSE TO INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE Alaris Service-JJP in the subject line. All documents submitted, will not be returned. All interested parties shall submit clear and convincing documentation demonstrating their capabilities to satisfy the requirements listed above to Contract Specialist, Chris Weider at christopher.weider@va.gov. The capability documentation should include general information and technical background describing in detail the prospective contractor's capabilities and experience that will demonstrate the ability to support these requirements.
