Small Business Set-Aside: SBA Total Small Business Set-Aside (FAR 19.5)
Description: The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ), Fruit Fly Rearing Facility, in Edinburg, TX �has a need for primary grown inactive dried yeast in accordance with specifications.� �This product will be used in the production of sterile Mexican fruit flies. This procurement will be awarded as a commercial supply, firm-fixed-price indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract, for a period not to exceed 5 years.�� An estimated 350 (50-lb) bags or 17,500 lbs of Inactive Dried Yeast �is needed every 56 days - �about 6 deliveries per year.� Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.209-4 - First Article Approval - Government Testing. (Sep 1989) will be required for the solicitation and contract.� The Government does not intend to pay for preparation of the sample nor the samples submitted by the respective offeror. The solicitation will be� issued as a Small Business Set-Aside in accordance� with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.219-6. (Nov 2011) and In accordance with Agricultural Acquisition Regulation� ( AGAR� )452.219-70 (NOV 1996)� Size Standard and NAICS Code.
