Response Date:��� 17-AUG-2022, 12:00 pm Est Time Short Project Description: Project completely renovates 14,420 sq. ft. of laboratory space in Building 652 located in Area B. Renovations will be accomplished across six research laboratories on all three floors of the facility and includes the addition of a 750 sq. ft. free-standing mezzanine to increase lab floor space. First floor renovations areas will include the Failure Structure Analysis, Electronics Failure Analysis and Nondestructive Investigation labs (7,562 sq. ft.). Renovations to the Adhesives and Composites lab includes two rooms on the second floor (1,027 sq. ft.), as well as, Room G-18 on the Ground Floor. Room G-18 (1,663 sq. ft.) will be converted to a high bay area by removing a false ceiling and adding 750 sq. ft. of floor space via a freestanding mezzanine and installation of glass walls for viewing from the hallway. Repairs to the labs include replacing HVAC system and controls and opening up individual lab areas by removing existing CMU walls. Work provides new fire alarms, sprinkler protection and mass notification to the entire area. New ceiling tiles and lighting will be installed. Nitrogen gas, compressed air and vacuum will be provided along with utility drops via overhead service carriers for each work bench, including installation of casework. Water and drain lines are to be provided for sinks. Work also includes repairs to finishes and removal and replacement of vinyl and terra-cotta flooring with epoxy. Communications work includes maintaining phone lines and providing 72 NIPRNET lines to individual labs. Type of action:���� Design Bid Build Construction Project 7. Criteria:�� Interested construction firms must provide no more than three (3) example projects with greater than 95 percent completion or projects completed in the past five (5) years in which the interested firm served as the prime contractor.� Example projects must be of similar size and scope.� Each project must include the name, title, project role, e-mail address, and telephone number of at least one external reference.� References may be used to verify project size, scope, dollar value, percentages, and quality of performance.� For each example project include original contract amount, pending and actual modification cost, pending and actual claims. � � � � � A . Projects similar in scope to this project include:�Projects considered similar in scope will include new construction and/or renovation of 2 or more lab spaces lab spaces within a facility. � � � � �B.
