- Description
- The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), The National Cancer Institute (NCI), Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences (DCCPS), Healthcare Delivery Research Program (HDRP) intends to procure services on a sole-source basis from AcademyHealth, 1666 K ST NW STE 1100, Washington, District of Columbia 20006-1215, United States. The response close date of the notice for this requirement is in accordance with FAR 5.203(b). This acquisition will be processed under FAR Part 12 � Acquisition for Commercial Items and will be made pursuant to the authority in FAR Part 13.106-1(b)(1); and is exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6. The North American Industry Classification System code is 611430 and the business size standard is $13 million. Please refer to the attached Statement of Work (SOW) for the anticipated Contractor task/requirements.� UNIQUE QAULIFICATIONS OF THE CONTRACTOR AcademyHealth serves as the premier professional and scientific society for health services and health policy researchers, as well as health care practitioners and stakeholders. To the knowledge of DCCP, it is the only known national membership organization devoted to promoting the field of health services research on a national scale and is a recognized leader in supporting evidence generation to inform health policy and practice. Promoting education and providing training opportunities is also a core part of AcademyHealth�s mission. To the knowledge of DCCPS, AcademyHealth is the sole organization with a nationally comprehensive and diverse list of health services research professionals, which constitutes the target applicant pool for this program. AcademyHealth has a long track record of partnering with other federal agencies and private organizations to successfully administer visiting scholar and fellowship programs. The organization has over 15 years of experience designing and implementing fellowship programs with the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS), Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Aetna Foundation, and Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. The healthcare delivery research visiting scholars program is geared towards researchers studying cancer care delivery and policy, and as such, calls for targeted healthcare delivery expertise and access to a professional network of investigators that AcademyHealth is uniquely positioned to provide. AcademyHealth has established an extensive and highly respected infrastructure for communicating and disseminating information to their membership base. RESPONSE INSTRUCTIONS This notice is not a request for competitive quotations. However, if any interested party, especially a small business, believes it can meet the above requirement, it may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quote for the Government to consider. The submission shall indicate experience with providing these services. Please include your business address and System for Award Management (SAM) Unique Entity Identifier (UEI). The response and any other information furnished must be in writing and must contain material in enough detail to allow NCI to determine if the party can perform the requirement. All responses must be submitted via email to Adam Hernandez, Contracting Officer at adam.hernandez@nih.gov. Responses are due no later than 2:00 P.M. EST Monday, August 15, 2022 (08/15/2022). A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. To receive an award, Contractors must be registered and have valid certification in the System for Award Management (SAM) through SAM.gov, and have Representations and Certifications filled out.
