- The 355th Contracting Squadron intends to issue a sole-source procurement action with Airborne Systems North America of CA INC. for the procurement of the following items: All materials, labor, tools, and transportation needed to furnish the following: CLIN 0001: Replacement Risers for MAIN RA-1 Parachute System Qty: 30 Each This requirement is conducted under FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy the Requirement. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source procurement action and is not a request for competitive proposals. Airborne Systems North America of CA Inc. is the original equipment manufacturer and certified by the DOD for the MAIN RA-1 System, thus meaning the risers that needed replaced can only be procured through them. Firms who want to challenge this sole source action must submit an interest letter that demonstrates your firm�s technical expertise, certifications and authorization to compete for this acquisition as an authorized provider for this equipment. Interested parties must provide rationale as to why they should be considered. All interested firms must respond to RFP number FA487722QA261 by Thursday, 18 August 2022, 10:00am MST to A1C Hunter Nope, 355th Contracting Squadron, 3180 S Craycroft Rd. Davis- Monthan Air Force Base, AZ 85707. At E-mail hunter.nope@us.af.mil, phone (520) 228-2377. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The 355th Contracting Office will not reimburse for any costs connected with providing the capability information.
