- Pre-solicitation Notice of Intent to Sole Source Pre-Solicitation Notice of intent to award a sole source contract. This is not a solicitation. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate a sole source contract with: Olympus America Inc 3500 Corporate Pkwy. Center Valle, PA 18034 ueiSAM: FLWQVLFLMEL3 The Department of Veterans Affairs VA Medical Center intends to award a Firm Fixed Price, Sole Source Delivery Order for a 36-month lease (12-month base period with two 12-month option periods) of the following equipment: CF-HQ190L : CFHQ190L EVIS EXERA III HD COLONOSCOPE, QTY: 11 PCF-HQ190L : SLIM COLONOSCOPE W/ DUAL FOCUS NBI, QTY: 1 GIF-HQ190 : GIFHQ190 EVIS EXERA III HDTV DF NBI, QTY: 3 Manchester VAMC currently uses and has been using Olympus branded Scope Systems for years. This procurement allows Manchester VAMC to keep many of the systems they currently operate including replacement parts, components, accessories, video equipment and other equipment. These systems are integrated into the workflow, patient care and patient treatment. These systems are highly specialized and require specific training to use by clinical staff as well as clean by sterile processing staff. Any new Scopes Systems will replace existing scopes and accessories. The new scopes must be compatible with existing Olympus equipment, including software, video systems and connectors. The Olympus systems are operated by proprietary software/hardware that can only be replaced or expanded upon by the OEM. All parts and labor will be acquired from the OEM Olympus. The authority for this action is FAR 6.302.1-1 Only One Responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The intent is to procure the lease of these products on a sole source basis. No solicitation will be posted to Contract Opportunities. The NAICS 339113. The size standard is 750. The FSC is 6515.
