- Notice of Intent to Sole Source The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 21 intends to solicit and negotiate with ARJO, INC., 2349 W Lake ST STE 250, Addison, Illinois 60101-6188, to engineer and install patient lift system in the Community Living Center, CT Basement, and Nuc Med Department at the VA Central California Healthcare System, Fresno. This acquisition is to procure the following items: 1. VA Fresno CLC: one (1) EA, Maxi Sky 1000 Motor, Five (5) MS2 4f ECS IC REG Motors, one (1) EA, MAXI SKY 1000LBS 4 POINT HANGER BAR, five (5) IC SPREADER BAR 2PT Loop Medium MS2, and track assembly that consists of six (6) EA, 4 meter 90MM KWIKTRAK and one (1) EA, 4.5 METER 140MM KWIKTRAK, Five (5) 90 degree curved kwiktrak 90MM and one (1) 90 degree curved kwiktrak 1000lbs statem 140MM at the VCCHCS Fresno. Purchase will also include the required installation hardware kit needed to install and secure the ceiling lifts to the ceiling/or walls, including engineer stamped drawings. 2. VA Fresno CT Basement: Arjo Maxi Sky 2 (600lbs safe working load)- with 2 Point Hanger Bar ceiling lift assemblies as follows at the Central California Health Care System: Complete installation of ARJO track/ceiling lift assemblies. This includes the ceiling lift track, Maxi Sky 2-, and 2-Point Hanger Bar. Installation of 4-meter 90mm Kwiktrack and 45-degree curved Kwicktrack 90mm in the following room: BLDG 1, basement floor CT Suite. Purchase will also include the required installation hardware kit needed to install and secure the ceiling lifts to the ceiling/or walls, including engineer stamped drawings.. 3. VA Fresno NUCMED: Arjo Maxi Sky 2 (600lbs safe working load)- with 2 Point Hanger Bar ceiling lift assemblies as follows at the Central California Health Care System: Complete installation of ARJO track/ceiling lift assemblies. This includes the ceiling lift track, Maxi Sky 2-, and 2-Point Hanger Bar. Installation of 4-meter 90mm Kwiktrack and 45-degree curved Kwicktrack 90mm in the following room: BLDG 1, 3rd floor, NUCMED Suite. Purchase will also include the required installation hardware kit needed to install and secure the ceiling lifts to the ceiling/or walls, including engineer stamped drawings.. The above procurement will be conducted on a sole source basis and determination of this sole source procurement is in accordance with the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). ARJO Ceiling mounted patient lifts are currently utilized throughout the VA-Fresno Facility. Therefore, it is required for the safety of patients that the VA maintain a consistent product. Healthcare providers have been trained, and currently utilized the ARJO Inc. Maxi Sky patient lift. Adding a lift that has differing controls and functionality could conceivably result in an accidental staff caused patient injury. The VA Fresno Facility has procured the ARJO Maxi Sky Patient Lift previously for standardization of the patient lift system throughout the VA Fresno Facility. ARJO is the only authorized installer of ARJO Patient Lift System. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 339999, All Other Miscellaneous Manufacturing; Small business size standard: 500 employees. PSC Code is 6515, Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment, and Supplies. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any business that believes it can provide the above listed items or equal may give written notice to daniel.jhun@va.gov by 2:00pm PDT on August 22, 2022. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. Responses will be considered by the Government; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No telephone requests will be accepted.
