- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS and is for informational / market research purposes only. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL, QUOTATION OR BID, NOR A SYNOPSIS OF A PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION UNDER FAR SUBPART 5.2. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or on any follow up information. NO SOLICITATION IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. The purpose for this synopsis is to conduct market research to help identify capable, potential sources and to establish if this requirement can be set-aside for small business or other socio-economic programs to include: Small Business, 8(a) firms, Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUBZone), Women-Owned, Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB) and Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). NAICS Code: 339114 Dental Equipment and Supplies Manufacturing Small Business Size Standard: 750 Employees PSC/FSC: 6520 Dental Instruments, Equipment and Supplies Department of Veterans Affairs is currently seeking source for Dental Handpieces. See Salient Characteristics below. Salient characteristics Straumann W&H WS-75 L G, Mini LED+ SURGICAL 20:1 and W&H WS-92 L G, Mini LED+ SURGICAL 1:2.7 Surgical and implant Handpieces. Must fit Aseptico surgical motor MOTOR/CABLE ASSY AE-230M-40 Must have the ISO 3964 coupling system E type Must have mini-LED light and generator Must have high contrast light mini-LED light system Must have independent power supply with integrated generator Must be stainless steel and have scratch resistant coating Must be able to be dismantled for through SPS cleaning Must be able to go through the thermo washer and be sterilizable Must be able to be reprocessed by Our SPS These handpieces have already been approved by SPS for reprocessing WS-75 LG specifications must have the following Surgical contra-angle handpiece with push-button, mini LED+ and generator Coupling system ISO 3964 (DIN 13940) 20:1 Single spray Hexagon chucking system Contra angle shank Ø 2.35 mm, (shank hardness >50 HRC, >520 HV), Kirschner/Meyer internal bur cooling system maximum drive speed 40,000 min-1 implantation, osteotomy W&H WS-92 LG specifications must have the following - Surgical contra-angle handpiece with push-button mini LED+ and generator Coupling system ISO 3964 (DIN 13940) 1:2.7 triple spray for surgical burs and cutters with FG shank Ø 1.6 mm maximum drive speed 40,000 min-1 hemisection, extraction of wisdom teeth INSTRUCTIONS TO RESPOND TO SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS: Any vendor interested and capable of meeting this requirement should provide a written statement to the Contracting Officer. Vendor response must include at a minimum: Name of Business Point of Contact Name, Phone Number, and E-Mail Address CAGE Code and UEI Number to show proof of registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) https://www.sam.gov Short Description of Capabilities Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence of the Vendor s capability of meeting this requirement. Only authorized representatives of the manufacturer will be considered. Equipment must be new, no used or refurbished equipment accepted. Please note, responses will be shared within the Government and project team, but otherwise will be held in strict confidence.
