Description
The US Coast Guard Office of Procurement & Contracting Miami Detachment (DOL 95), on behalf of U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Savannah, GA intends to award a sole source firm-fixed price service purchase to Carolina Chillers for the emergency/casualty repairs to HVAC chiller, bldg. 830 Hunter Army Airfield Savannah, per provided SOW. The contractor shall furnish trained, qualified personnel and any required special tools or equipment necessary to complete the requirement listed on the Statement of Work. Responses to this notice must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government, would not be cost or time prohibitive, and would not hinder the mission objective of GRS updating, hosting and resource mapping needed for oil spill planning response. � The determination not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice. Bldg 830 at Airsta Savannah is occupied by both military and civilian personnel daily and extreme temperatures within the bldg. make daily operations difficult to complete. This is NOT a request for quotes or proposals. Scope of Services needed: The contractor shall furnish trained, qualified personnel and any required special tools or equipment necessary to complete the following work: CONDUCT REPAIR OF 20 TON CARRIER CHILLER Repair malfunctioning HVAC chilled water system in Building #830.� Unit is constantly shutting down on alarm and requires constant service calls and resetting to keep it running because of a refrigerant leak in the condensing coil. Work to include: Evacuate Refrigerant Lock out Tag out all applicable Electrical Remove EXV Valve Remove Condenser coil Remove Thermomist Sensor Remove Pressure Transducer Remove and replace filter drier Pressure test for leaks Recharge refrigerant Re-energize unit Start up Test Check for any leaks Log system Clean up Applicable NAICS code:� 238220�Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors, size standard in Millions ($16.5)
