Description

Type of Notice: Sources Sought Title: Sources Sought 12905B22SS0081� Sources Sought to locate potential sources for high resolution multipectral and thermal sensor kits. High Resolution Multispectral Sensor Kit Basic Description: Manually measuring plant characteristics is time-consuming. �A remote sensing and proximal sensing devices capture more data in less time, allowing us to study how different traits react to various growing conditions. A sensor that captures synchronized multispectral and thermal imagery with high resolution is needed by the turfgrass project for high?throughput image?phenotyping of different species of turfgrasses to accelerates the rate of genetic improvement. A sensor that captures in the visible light, non-visible and infrared bands is required. The capture of these bands happens simultaneously, eliminating the need for data alignment in post-processing. To facilitate routine analyses and to drive breeding decisions, data integration is critical for effective management of germplasm, field experiment design, phenotyping, tissue sampling, genotyping, aerial?phenotyping campaigns, image files, and geo?spatial information. Minimum Acceptable Specification and Performance Requirements: A sensor less than 600 g weight, a dimension of approximately 11 x 8 x 7 cm with external power of 10-26v with power input of 5.5/7.0/10W (standby, average, peak). Sensor resolution of 2064 x 1544 (3.2MP per MS band), 4112 x 3008 (12MP per PAN band), and 320 � 256 thermal infrared is required. Spectral bands of Blue 475(32), Green 560(27), Red 668(14), Red Edge 717(12), NIR 842(57). RGB color output of 12.4 MP (global shutter, aligned with all bands) and radiometrically calibrated thermal infrared of 7.5-13.5um. Capture rate of at least 2 per second raw DNG. Field view of 50o HFOV x 38o VFOV (multispectral bands) and 48o x 39o (thermal band) with pixel size of at least 3.4 um (multispectral) and 12 um with <60mK sensitivity and +- 5K accuracy (thermal). Accessories such as calibrated reflectance panel, DLS 2 Mount for DJI Inspire 2 (collaborator operated), Gen 3 Quick Mount, and Gen 3 Quick Mount Wire Harness are also required. �Any other information considered relevant to this requirement; and The government requests that no proprietary, classified, confidential, or sensitive information should be included in the response. Any vendor responding to this notice should ensure that its response is complete and sufficiently detailed to allow the Government to determine their qualifications to perform the work. Respondents are advised that the Government is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of the information received or provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted. After review of the responses received, a combined synopsis/solicitation may be published on sam.gov depending on the responses received.
