- This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract and is not a request for quotes. The Department of Veterans Affairs on behalf of Syracuse VA Medical Center intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP), brand name only, sole source action against a Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) to; Name of Contractor: GE Medical Systems Information Technologies Street Address: 9900 Innovation Drive City, State, Zip: Wauwatosa, WI 53226 The objective of this action is the procurement of GE Case 6.5 Cardiac Stress test machines. The Syracuse VAMC Cardiology Department needs to replace its two GE Case 6.5 Cardiac Stress test machines. Both machines are end of life and no longer will be serviced by GE. Market research has concluded GE is the only manufacturer to meet the compatibility standardization requirements of Syracuse VAMC. The Veterans Health Administration prohibits the use of gray market items in their Medical Centers. Gray market items are considered to be items outside of the original equipment manufacturer s intended distribution channels. All capability statements must be received by no later than 10:00 AM Eastern Standard Time on September 8, 2022. Responses to be submitted to Morgan Weeks, Contracting Officer at morgan.weeks1@va.gov. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
