Description

This notice is not a solicitation. This announcement serves as a pre-solicitation synopsis notice for the upcoming competitive acquisition for the United States Air Force Academy Cadet Parade Uniform requirement. The intent of this pre-solicitation synopsis notice is for informational purposes only. A request for quotes is anticipated to be posted to SAM.gov within 2-4 weeks of posting this notice with an anticipated solicitation number of FA700022Q0091. The United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) issues clothing and uniform items to cadets throughout their tenure at USAFA. The Parade Uniforms are part of the Cadet's clothing issue. These uniforms must be made in accordance with the attached USAFA Specifications. A first article will be required in accordance with FAR 52.209-4 Alt 1. �Bar codes will be required for these uniforms in compliance with Code 39 or UPC Bar Code. The contractor will be responsible for procuring the Berry Amendment compliant fabric for each uniform item, with the exception of the outer shell of the Men�s and Women�s Parade Coats. �The Government will issue Government Furnished Material (GFM) to the contractor to manufacture the outer-shell of the Parade Coats. The estimated �quantities per year for each item is as follows: � � � � �� 0001 � � Parade, Coat, Mens� � � � � � �900 �EA � � � � � 0002 � � Parade, Coat, Wmns� � � � � � 340 �EA � � � � � 0003 � � Parade, Bibbers, Unisex� � � 3500� EA � � � � � The government anticipates soliciting for a firm fixed price, single award requirements type contract as described in FAR 16.503. A requirements contract provides for filling all actual pruchase requirements of designated Government activities for supplies during a specified contract period (from one contractor), with deliveries or performance to be scheduled by placing orders with the contractor. The anticipated ordering period will include a base period (~1 Dec 2022 through 30 Nov 2023) and two (2) one-year options. This will be solicited without a small business set aside, however any large business concern must have an approved small business subcontracting plan prior to award.�The Berry Amendment requirements will apply to this acquisition as stated in DFARS clause 252.225-7012 ""Preference for Certain Domestic Commodities."" Delivery FOB destination to USAF Academy, CO� 80840�
