- This sources sought synopsis is for informational and planning purposes only in reference to the soon to be released solicitation, N6883622Q0406 . This is not a Request for Proposal, Request for Quote, or Invitation for Bids. It does not constitute a solicitation and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government. Responses in any form are not offers and the Government is under no obligation to award a contract as a result of this announcement. No funds are available to pay for preparation of responses to this announcement. Any information submitted by respondents to this technical description is strictly voluntary. The purpose of this sources sought notice is to survey prospective vendors that are capable of the following: The Contractor shall furnish, deliver and install new, commercial washing machines (clothes) and new dryers to Unaccompanied Housing Permanent Party and Student Dorms at NAS Meridian, MS 39309. Contractor will provide all supervision, labor, installation, materials, parts and equipment as necessary to ensure installation in accordance with the manufacturers specifications. Contract will also provide all repair parts, supplies, equipment, maintenance and repair services for the washers and dryers. Contractor shall provide the necessary support to ensure compliance with the service/repair time requirements as follows:�The Contractor shall repair or replace rental unit within one (1) working day after notification by the Contracting Officer's Representative, weekends and holidays excluded. All washers furnished by the Contractor shall meet or exceed the following requirements: Machines shall be new, commercial, multi-housing electric (120 Volt, 60-hertz) single-phase power supply, fully automatic clothes washers with a minimum capacity of fourteen (14) pounds. The washers shall be capable of washing, rinsing, spin drying, and shutting off automatically when the door is opened during the spin cycle. Each washer shall be equipped with a safety-interlocking device that will shut the machine off when the door is opened during the spin cycle. Washers shall have a temperature selector and be connected to both a hot and cold-water source. All electronic wiring, electrical cords, plugs, and grounding shall be in accordance with UL-560 or UL-1206 or ANSI 221.5.1. Electrical cords shall have an attachment plug and minimum free length of five feet measuring from the point of entry into the cabinet to the washer. All dryers furnished by the Contractor shall meet or exceed the following requirements: Machines shall be new dryers, electric (3 wire nominal 120/240 volts, 60 cycle A.C.), commercial motor and cabinet construction, minimum 5.75 cubic foot drum capacity, 3 selections for drying temperature, and a minimum of 60 minutes of timed drying. Dryer shall have overload protection, push button starting switch, a door switch to stop tumbling and heat when door is open, heating elements, which shut off when motor stops, removable lint screen and standard dryer settings to include settings for permanent press fabrics, delicate, and heavy duty. Dryers shall be UL approved. The Contractor will provide and maintain (Dryers) semi- rigid aluminum dryer exhaust house. Stacked dryers consists of two dryers that can be stacked on each other as a set. All washers and dryers shall be new machines without coin devices and have no removable temperature setting knobs. All washers and dryers shall be white in color. Only top-loading washing machines shall be installed. Front-loading washers shall not be used. Washers shall be able to use non-High Efficiency laundry detergent. Period of Performance:� BASE PERIOD: 1 October 2022-30 September 2023 OPTION YEAR 1: 1 October 2023-30-September 2024 OPTION YEAR 2: 1 October 2024-30 September 2025 Interested� parties� are� requested� to� submit� a� capabilities� statement. Capabilities� statement� shall� include� the� following� information: 1 )� Company� name,� address,� POC� name,� phone� number,� fax� number� and� email 2 )� Contractor CAGE� Code 3 )� Size� of� business- Large� Business,� Small� Business,� Small� Disadvantaged, �8 ( a),� HubZone, Woman-owned and/ or� Veteran-owned 4 )� In� your� response,� provide� a� brief� description� of� the� capability,� resources,� and� technical� competencies� and organizational� experience� relative� to� the� key� requirements.� Standard� brochures/ and� or� paraphrasing� of� the draft� Performance� Work� Statement� will� not� be� considered� sufficient� to� demonstrate� the� capabilities� of� an interested� party.� Those� vendors� interested� in� providing� information� in� response� to� this� Sources� Sought� are requested� to� provide� the� above� information� to� the� Contract� Specialist,� Petina� Lott- Wilder, at petina.lott-wilder.civ@us.navy.mil.� All �data �received �in �response �to �this �sources �sought, �marked �or �designated �as �corporate �or �proprietary� will�be �fully protected �from �release �outside �the �Government. �The �Government �is �not �committed�nor �obligated �to pay �for �information provided, �and �no �basis �for �claims �against �the �Government �shall �arise �as �a �result �of �a response �to �this �Sources �Sought.
