- Description
- Market research is being conducted to identify potential sources that may�possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements for qualification and�production of the Receiver-Transmitters, NSN�5895-01-605-1998TM, PN 5188636-120 and NSN 5895-01-626-5184TM, PN 5188638-110. ITEM DESCRIPTION: The Receiver-Transmitters are used on the RQ-4 Global Hawk's Multi-Platform Radar Technology�Insertion Program (MP-RTIP) payload system. This aircraft is part of the integrated Intelligence,�Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) constellation Providing accurate, timely, decision-quality�and critical information to decision-makers, shooters and other warfighters. The Reciever- Transmitters are part of MP-RTIP synthetic aperture radar used to track and monitor ground targets�in order to enhance situational awareness and battlefield management. IMPEDIMENT TO COMPETITION: The original equipment manufacturer for these items is Raytheon Company. (CAGE 4U884), which�maintains its configuration by part number and software version. The Government does not own any�data, drawings, schematics, or any�other releasable technical data in support of this requirement. As a result, the Raytheon Company�is the only known source with adequate knowledge of these�Receiver-Transmitters performance requirements and possession of the required technical data and� capabilities needed to produce this item and ensure compatibility of the�equipment. INTEREST: The DLA/AWB Contracting Office intends to award a sole source contract to�Raytheon for the manufacture of these Receiver-Transmitters in support of the RQ-4 Global Hawk�program. Other interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the�requirement�no later than 22 September 2022 by emailing Matthew Kennedy (matthew.kennedy@us.af.mil) and/or� dla.dlr.proc@us.af.mil. The Government intends to procure these items using�Other Than Full and Open Competition as prescribed by FAR 6.302-1,�Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.
