Description

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) intends to issue a noncompetitive contract to Charles River Laboratories, Inc., 251 Ballardvale St, Wilmington, MA 01887-1096 (Unique Entity ID: NAPSK1UAMAE5). This procurement is for specific pathogen free (SPF) embryonating chicken eggs. See attached justification for other than full and open competition. The Government contemplates the award of a firm fixed-price five year (Base Year and four Option Years) IDIQ contract for the acquisition of specific pathogen free (SPF) embryonating chicken eggs. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. However, all responsible sources may submit a response which shall be considered by the agency. Responses must be received no later than 12:00pm EST on September 23rd, 2022. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Respondents should ensure the information provided is detailed, current, accurate, and complete. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is solely within the discretion of the Government. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 112310.
