Description

TITLE: F3T2EM2237AG01, Sole Source Acquisition for MJ-1B Bomb Lift Frame Parts The 4th Contracting Squadron, Seymour Johnson AFB, NC intends to award a sole source purchase order to Hydraulics International Incorporated (HII). HII shall manufacture and deliver the below frame parts for the Air Force Safety Agency nuclear certified MJ-1B Bomb Lift.� The parts shall be manufactured to the specifications required by the National Stock Numbers, Air Force Part Numbers, and the drawing specifications provided by San Antonio Air Logistics Center (SA-ALC).� As required by Technical Order 35D3-2-25-1, HII�s manufacturing of these parts has been approved by the bomb lift equipment specialist in concert with the cognizant engineer.� All work shall be in accordance with Federal, State and base safety regulations, the original manufacturers� recommendations, and qualification tested per USAF specification MIL-T-38646 REV. C Certified for handling nuclear weapons in accordance with requirements of USAF Weapons Laboratory, Kirtland AFB, NM, and USAF/LG � Airforce Manual 91-118 Safety design and Evaluation Criteria for Nuclear Weapons Systems. EMI tested and qualified for Radiated Emissions (RE102), and Radiated Susceptibility (RS103) per MIL-STD-461D and MIL-STD-462D NSN 5340-01-395-8937 - Part #7447207-02; Cover, Hydraulic tank NSN 4140-01-392-9567 - Part #56D23204-11; Mudguard, Top right NSN 1730-01-487-2524 - Part #7352535-10; Frame, Forward sheet metal NSN 2510-01-396-0825 - Part #7352584-10; Frame, hydraulic tank APPLICABILITY OF AUTHORITY:� This purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures as authorized by FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract lies solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive requirement. The closing date for this synopsis is 16 September 2022 at 2:00 P.M. EST.
