- This is a Sources Sought Synopsis to conduct market research for developing a procurement strategy for Hazardous Waste Disposal Service for Mann-Grandstaff (Spokane) VAMC at: Mann-Grandstaff VAMC 4815 N. Assembly Street Spokane, WA 99205 The awarded contractor will: Provide all supervision, labor, materials, containers, pick-up at the designated medical center location, and transport, incinerate, recycle, treat, or landfill by other commercially acceptable methodology, and dispose of Hazardous Waste, Universal Waste and Pharmaceutical Waste from the MGVAMC. The MGVAMC reserves the right to handle a particular waste stream outside of the scope of this contract if it can be recycled, handled, or treated locally. The Contractor shall ensure that all Local, State and Federal laws and codes for manifesting, handling, and transportation of Hazardous and Pharmaceutical Waste are met or exceeded. Contractor vehicles shall meet or exceed all City, County, State and Federal licensing and vehicle requirements as mandated by the State of Washington and the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), WAC 173-303-100, DOT, UTC regulations specific to the type of waste to be disposed. This announcement is for planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for competitive offers. This announcement is not to be construed as a commitment by the Department of Veterans Affairs. No contract will be awarded from this announcement. All interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit responses, via e-mail, to Brian Millington, Contract Specialist, by email: brian.millington@va.gov. No telephone calls will be accepted. All responses to the Sources Sought Synopsis should be received as soon as possible but no later than 16:30 PM (Pacific Time) on September 20, 2022.
