Description

THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES.�IAW FAR Part 13, this purchase order is intended to be awarded as a sole source procurement. In reference to FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), for purchases not exceeding the Simplified Acquisition Threshold and IAW the Simplified Acquisition Procedures for the procurement of Sole Source acquisitions, the exception at FAR 6.302-1(a) is justified in its authority under the procurement of this acquisition on the basis that the company, Computer Comforts, Inc., is currently the only company that can meet the needs of this requirement; while other hide-away tables exist on the market, Computer Comforts, Inc. is the only manufacturer and distributor capable of fulfilling this requirement to the exact product, performance and delivery/assembly specifications of the 325th FSS/FSDE. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.� However, all proposals received by the date of close specified herein will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested parties may identify their interest and may submit a quote by 12:00 PM CST, 23 September 2022, which shall be considered by the Government.
