Description

Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) has a requirement to procure equipment rental agreement, service support and consumables contract to �Provide Patient Care Testing� support for 41 POCT sites. The rental agreement will ensure that POCT sites continue to utilize the 47 I-Stats currently in use with zero impact to patient care. The service contract will ensure that the POCT staff will have customer service support to assists with trouble shooting problems for the 47 I-Stats The vendor will provide onsite technical support or for cases of prolong maintenance, provide a ready-for-use instrument while the inoperable instrument undergoes repair. The consumables contract will ensure that the POCT Section can purchase the necessary consumables of the same lot numbers and expiration dates that maximize shelf life in bulk and minimize the lot-to-lot correlation studies required by the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA 88). THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS and no solicitation exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice shall submit technical data, including cost and capabilities, sufficient to determine a contractor's ability in providing the same equipment. All capability statements received by closing of this notification of this synopsis will be considered by the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.� A copy of the Justification and Approval will be posted no later than fourteen (14) days after award.
