Description

This notice serves to announce that the Southern Markets Contracting Division (SM-CD) intends to award a sole source contract to Immucor, Inc. for Blood Typing Reagents, including equipment (Echo) lease, maintenance, and training to be used in the Keesler Medical Center located at Keesler Air Force Base, MS. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is based upon market research and industry engagement. The approved Justification and Approval (J&A) for Other Than Full and Open Competition is attached to this notice. The applicable NAICS code for this acquisition is 325413 (In-Vitro Diagnostic Substance Manufacturing) and the size standard is 1250 employees. This acquisition will be solicited as a commercial item using FAR 12 procedures. The Government anticipates the award of a firm-fixed price Requirements type contract as a result of soliciting and negotiating with only one source. The ordering period for this requirement is estimated to be 1 October 2022 to 30 September 2027, for a total performance period�not to exceed 60 months. All prospective offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to award of contract with any DoD agency. Registration may be accomplished at https://www.sam.gov/.
