- This amendment is being issued to clarify what the requirement is, answer vendors questions, and extend the solicitation date. THE REQUIREMENT IS:� SOFTWARE.� This means the quoted item must be either a license to use the software or a subsciption to use a investigation database.� This requirement is not a service as defined in FAR Part 37 and there are no Tasks involved.� The requirement is for Software that means the required salient characteristics. Only Quotes for software will be considered for Award. QUESTION: Salient Characteristics � Arrest Records: Does USMC CID require access to real-time incarceration and arrest records updated at least hourly from the majority of U.S. jurisdictions? ANSWER: USMC CID is seeking to have real time arrest records as they come in to to ensure they have the most up to date information, as they pursue their investigations. QUESTION: Salient Characteristics � License Plate Data: In addition to registration data on vehicles, does USMC CID require access to license plate recognition data which shows where vehicles have been located based on image capture of its license plate? ANSWER: Yes QUESTION: Salient Characteristics � Batch Alerts: We have the following questions regarding the USMC CID�s request for batch services: 1. What is the estimated volume of batch records/inputs per month? ANSWER: USMC CID would not be uploading information into the database but using the data base to extract information. 2. What data types will be used for batch input (e.g., name, SSN, address, arrest records)? ANSWER: USMC CID would not be uploading information into the database but using the data base to extract information. 3. Does USMC-CID require batch alerts to return information from Real-Time Incarceration and Arrest Records? ANSWER: Yes QUESTION. Software subscription start date: For procurement efficiency, would the USMC CID consider pricing for a base year plus four one-year options to extend the contract? ANSWER: No, this is only pricing for a base year. QUESTION: Does the vendor need to come over to MCBQ for meetings? ANSWER: The vendors must come to MCBQ to train users and/or remote training (ie via Microsoft Teams) -This amendment ends the period of questions. -Terms and conditions remains the same. This is a request for quotations: The resulting Purchase Order will be firm fixed price. This requirement is brand name or equal. Quotes are due 22 September, 2022 at 1:00 PM EST
