- �NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals.� This is not a solicitation or request for offers. �No solicitation package is available and telephone requests will not be honored.� This sole source contracting action is pursuing a waiver from placing an order on a competitive basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.�The signed sole source justification will be posted with the award. The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) intends to award a sole source purchase order to: AdvR, Inc. 31948 Frontage Road Bozeman, MT 59715 Items: � -Fiber coupled KTP phase modulator capable of > 250 mW input optical power at 780 nm without photorefractive loss or damage. Two-photon stimulated Raman transitions via 6.8 GHz phase modulation of an optical carrier close to resonance with the rubidium-87 D2 line at 780 nm optical wavelength. Raman transitions to take place in dual counterpropagating rubidium beams requiring 250 mW of optical power.� - Fiber coupled ridge waveguide for 1560->780nm with at least 20% total efficiency at 1 W CW input power. Generation of laser light for optical addressing the rubidium-87 and rubidium-85 D2 lines at 780 nm from a 1560 nm fiber laser. The laser light will be used for cooling, optical pumping, detection, and coherent quantum manipulation of atomic states. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this requirement is 333314 Optical Instrument and Lens Manufacturing with the size standard of 500 Employees.� �The Federal Supply Code (FSC) / Product Service Code (PSC) procurement is 6650 Optical Instruments, Test Equipment, Components and Accessories. This purchase will be made utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with: Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13.106-1(b) for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold of $250,000.� Interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement within three (3) calendar days of the publication of this notice.� Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government.�� Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. �A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. �No reimbursement for any cost connected with providing capability information will be provided.
