Description
Does the VTC has asbestos? Not to the Governments knowledge Is this work to take place after hours? No Any restrictions on window of work? 7-5? Or can we have unlimited access to complete work in a timely manner? Hours will be 7:00am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday except on Holidays. Is the base to be rolled or 4 sticks? Either one is acceptable Is base to be 4 , 4.5 , or 6 ? Minimum 4 Is laminate flooring to have a specified wear layer thickness? 20mil Any specified manufacture or color for the laminate flooring? Gray wood grain pattern Attic stock to be supplied? Not sure what this is, please be more specific. Is Flooring contractor responsible for lifting/moving cubicles or is there a specific contractor coming in to disassemble and reassemble? Per SOW: 2.Contractor will move /dismantle furniture and electrical outlets that are attached to each workstation in an organized manner. 2. The contractor will be responsible to return all cubicles back to the original configuration once new flooring has been completed. This includes electrical and data cabling as it was originally run. Is current carpet a Broadloom or tile format? Unknown. Is RH testing required? Not sure what this is, please be more specific. How old is the slab? 26 years old Any visible signs of settling of concrete or need for excessive floor prep? Not to the Governments knowledge Is all work to be performed on ground floor or are there multiple levels? As shown in the site visit there are multiple levels Level of background checks? Basic Criminal History back ground checks. None. All contractors will be escorted. Are we allowed to have more than 30 days to complete this job? There is a ton of work that we will not be able to complete within the 30 days. How long are you projecting it will take? Of the 139 Miscellaneous lights, can you specify exactly what fixtures they are and how many? There can be a big difference in cost when bidding these miscellaneous fixtures. Can you provide an exact number of how many lights are in the parking garage? Please see answer to question 17 The 175 light switches, are we replacing all the light switches in the facility or just the ones that are seemingly going out? There are more than 175 switches in the Regional Office, but we will only be replacing 175 of them as part of this contract. We looked up the lights switches the contracting officer wanted to switch to in the preexisting building and those switches have been discontinued, are you ok with the contractor finding switches that are similar? As long as they work with current automated system. Upon the second site visit the contracting officer stated that the solicitation had been changed to 198 miscellaneous light fixtures, where is the information found in the solicitation? Please see answer to question 17 Of the 198 miscellaneous fixtures, will the government provide manufacturing numbers and specific light fixtures they want used in these areas? No. In the site visit contractors were able to retrieve this information for themselves. Does the 198 miscellaneous fixtures include the bathrooms? We know that some bathrooms have already been changed but others have not. How many bathroom fixtures need to be replaced? Please see answer to question 17 How many stairwell lights need to be replaced? We know that some are already replaced but know some aren t. Please see answer to question 17 Upon the second visit, the contracting officer stated that there were 4 inch can light that needed to be replaced. How many and what type? Please see answer to question 17 Are the small refrigerator and ice maker to be moved from the kitchen area? Yes, they just slide in and out. Will we need to move printers, copiers? No That is IT equipment and will be moved by them. Will we need to disconnect and reconnect IT equipment? No Will we need to move IT equipment? No The lateral files will need to be emptied (packed prior to moving), will we need to pack / unpack lateral files? The lateral files will be emptied by the HRC personnel. The personal contents and desk files will need to be emptied (packed prior to moving), will we need to pack / unpack cubical contents? The personal contents and desk files will be emptied by HRC personnel. Will the project take place in phases?  If so, how many? As discussed in the site visit: there are two main areas. Occupants will all be moved to one area when the unoccupied area is completed then the employees will be moved to the finished side and the work can be completed on the other area. Do you want us to provide a trailer to house the furniture temporarily? Up to the contractor. If no trailer is needed, where will the furniture be housed? Up to the contractor. Can we store all furniture in a trailer onsite or in a storage facility off site? Yes Are there any sensitive material that the government itself needs to move prior to the contractor moving the furniture? All sensitive material will be moved by HRC personnel. Clarification on what type of LVT product they are looking for? High Traffic LVT flooring that is resistant to scuffs, scratches, stains, slipping, color change from sunlight and waterproof between 12mm 15mm. The notice said that the government wants Laminate, are you open to Luxury Vinyl Tile? No. I know the responding officer said he wants gray flooring with black base boards, is there a specific type of gray LVT The government wants? Provide flooring that meets the requirements as mentioned above. Mohawk flooring? Where there are places the carpet extends to a very small opening that contractors are not able to get to, can we provide transitions pieces from the carpet to the LVT? Yes, where applicable with COR approval. On the 3rd floor main office there is a wall that goes through the ceiling, and if the moving company is not able to move the wall, is the government okay with transitions laying up to the wall on both sides? No Can you provide photos of the work locations? No Can you provide detail of how to dismantle the existing fixtures? No Are the pre-selected materials for the lighting, flooring & base board? There is a wide variety of pricing for these materials. I don t understand this question there aren t any pre-selected materials?
