- The Bureau of the Fiscal Service, on behalf of the United States Mint, is issuing this solicitation to acquire Medical Professional Services for Reasonable Accommodation (RA) Requests, as specified herein. The United States Mint was established by the United States Constitution and formed in 1792. In 1873, the United States Mint was made a Bureau of the Department of Treasury and today is the worlds largest coin manufacturer, with operations in California, Colorado, Kentucky, New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington, D.C. The United States Mint applies world-class business practices in making, selling, and protecting our Nations coinage and assets. The United States Mint has a requirement for a board-certifiedphysician in the role of family medicine, primary care, general practitioner and/or occupational and environmental medicine to review reasonable accommodation (RA) requests. The physician shall have a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience and be licenses to practice medicine inVirginia, Maryland, or any state or location with a United States Mint location (Washington, DC, Pennsylvania, New York, Colorado, Kentucky, California). This is an invitation-only, open market solicitation. The solicitation is being issued as a total small business set-aside under NAICS 621111 (Offices of Physicians, Except Mental Health Specialists) with a size standard of $12 million in average annual gross revenue or less for the preceding three fiscal years.
