- Description
- The United States Coast Guard (USCG) is seeking information from potential offerors who are interested in, and capable of manufacturing and delivering Cutter Boat � Medium (CB-M II) that will be operated from three different classes of Coast Guard cutters. The primary purpose of these boats is to deliver Law Enforcement (LE) teams, conduct Search and Rescue (SAR) cases, and perform Ports, Waterways, and Coastal Security (PWCS) missions.� These boats will replace three classes of cutter boats that were built between 2003 and 2012. This RFI seeks information with regard to the following: �Do you have a craft already in production that meets the preliminary requirements or a design that could be modified to meet the requirements?��� If so, please provide information on the design, and any boats that have been built to this design.� (Specification sheets, drawings, photographs, production information, etc.) If you do not have a boat in production, and you are interested in submitting a proposal, how would you pursue proposing a hull form that is proven and ready for production?�� What is a reasonable time period to complete a detailed design, and to build / deliver the first boat? What is a reasonable time period to build and deliver additional boats? For lifecycle support, to what extent do you normally provide logistics information? (CAD models, drawings and technical data) What are the standard warranty terms? What is the rough order of magnitude (ROM) price of your current craft?� What is the ROM of the design and engineering effort to meet the CB-M II requirements?� What is the ROM for a first article and subsequent CB-M II boats? What is your company�s size and socio-economic status? Responses to this RFI shall be submitted to William.E.Lewis3@uscg.mil This special notice is for market research and planning purposes only.� It does not constitute a solicitation and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to award a contract from responses to this announcement.� Any information submitted by interested parties is strictly voluntary and no monetary compensation will be provided for response preparation.
