- Description
- Services. Non-Personal.The Contractor is requested to provide Respiratory Care services, for a 12-month base period and four (4) 12-month option periods. This contract covers the period of one (1) base year after contract award and four (4) one (1) year option periods, which may be exercised at the IHS discretion and are subject to the Contractor�s satisfactory performance of the Services under this contract.� Shift times and schedules are subject to change based on the medical needs of the patient population and hospital/clinic operations.�Certifications.�The Respiratory Therapist (s) must have completed an approved program in Respiratory Therapy leading to a certificate or Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy. Experience: Minimum two-year experience. Licensure: State License issued by Arizona Board of Respiratory Care Examiners as directed by state law.�Certification: Current CRT or RRT through the NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care, as well as current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certifications.�The contractor shall prepare and complete in a timely fashion, the medical and other required records for all parties he/she admits or in any way provides care for the hospital or health care facility (Service Unit Medical By-Laws). Documentation in the patient�s health record are to be completed on the day services are rendered. During the performance of their duties, the contractor shall provide for the consistent performance of patient care processes according to the standards for TJC accreditation program within IHS. These standards include: The Comprehensive Accreditation Manuals for Critical Access Hospitals, and the Laboratory Standards as they represent the scope of services of this contract.
