- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Responses to this source sought notice must be in writing. The purpose of this sources sought announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential businesses interested and capable of providing the services described below. The Veteran s Integrated Service Network 22 is seeking a contractor to provide the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System with six (6) beige and one (1) beige New and Refurbished Metal Storage Containers. This procurement is to procure the materials/hardware purchase. Labor required for installations. These storage containers will be used to store new furniture and hospital supplies. The required item is a refurbished metal storage containers or equal possessing the salient characteristics listed below. Salient Characteristics Refurbished Metal Storage Containers or Equal 1.1 40 FT Long x 8-0 FT wide x 8 -6 IN Tall 1.2 Cargo Doors on one end 1.3 Grind down any surface rust 1.4 Wind & Water Tight no holes and doors will seal and keep water out. 1.5 Paint: Beige 1.6 Quantity: 6 Picture above is to provide guidance to the vendors only. 2. New Metal Storage Container or Equal 2.1 20 FT Long x 8-0 FT wide x 8 -6 IN Tall 2.2 Cargo Doors on one end 2.3 Durable Corrosion Resistant Steel 2.4 Wind & Water Tight no holes and doors will seal and keep water out. 2.5 Welded tie down points included on upper and lower rails 2.6 Marine Grace Plywood base 2.7 Paint: Beige 2.8 Quantity: 1 Picture above is to provide guidance to the vendors only 3. DELIVERY 3.1 Delivery shall be within 30 days of award. 3.2 Vendor shall coordinate with the VA POC for the delivery of items. Notification of expected shipment date shall be provided no later than 3 business days prior to shipment. 3.3 Vendor shall Deliver between the hours of 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, during normal working hours. 3.4 Vendor must ensure that delivery trucks will not be permitted to remain at the loading dock. Trucks shall be unloaded, moved from the dock, and then brought back to the dock if required to haul out any waste, tools, or excess materials. 3.5 Vendor must label delivered items with the contract number and purchase order (PO) number for identification and reference upon receipt of product. 4. INSTALLATION 4.1 The vendor shall offload bins place bins in the areas designed by the VA. - 6 each 40th bins at Bldg. 509 - 1 each 20 ft bin at the East Dock Wall at Bldg. 500 5. CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBILITIES 5.1 The Vendor shall take necessary precautions to avoid damaging property during transport. The Vendor shall be responsible for all costs associated with damages. 5.2 Contractor shall repair or coordinate with the POC for replacement of damaged, defective, or missing items. 6. WARRANTY 6.1 Vendor shall provide standard warranty on all the supplies & installation. - to ensure that containers should be rust free, fully functioning doors, no holes, water-tight (top and bottom) damage free of dents and graffiti free, and freshly painted. The Government is not obligated to nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought announcement. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. The VA is mandated by Public Law 109-461 to consider a total set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. However, if there are insufficient Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business responses, an alternate set-aside or full and open competition may be determined. No sub-contracting opportunity is anticipated. Responses to this notice shall be submitted via email to isaac.shimizu@va.gov. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses must be received no later than 10/21/2022 12:00 PM PDT. After review of the responses to this sources sought announcement, a solicitation may be published on the beta.sam.gov or GSA eBuy websites. Responses to this sources sought announcement will not be considered adequate responses to the solicitation. All interested offerors must respond to the solicitation in addition to responding to this sources sought announcement. Prospective bidders must be authorized re-sellers in order to participate in the solicitation process. Notice to potential offerors: All offerors who provide goods or services to the United States Federal Government must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov. Additionally, all Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses or Veteran Owned Small Businesses must be registered with the Department of Veterans Affairs Center for Veterans Enterprise VetBiz Registry located at www.vip.vetbiz.gov.
