Description
The Defense Logistics Agency-Aberdeen, on behalf of the Army Integrated Logistics Supply Center (ILSC), intends to acquire the Engine, NSN 2815-01-486-7691, PN A3382458, CAGEC 80063 to support the MEP-952 5kW Auxiliary Power Unit (APU). Requirements Description: The Engine for the 5kW APU is based upon the Farymann model 43F single cylinder diesel engine. �The 5kW APU Engine requires the addition of several components to the 43F engine. � Simple supply of the 43F engine will not be sufficient. �The model 43F engine may also be sourced from TZEN Co, Ltd. The Government does possess the technical data package (TDP) for the parts. The TDP is available for release. �The TDP includes level 3 Production information. The Government will also consider parts from other sources that have the same form, fit, and function as the required parts. Alternate parts would have to pass extensive performance and qualification testing to ensure that the parts meet the Military's requirements, the cost of which would be considered in the acquisition decision. The response should also include production lead times, number of years part will be available, price break ranges if applicable, part number & CAGE of proposed parts, or any other information that could affect the acquisition, supply and delivery of the parts. �Successful supplier may be required to warrant that the item supplied will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended by the Army. In your response, please include your company name, CAGE code, and a technical point of contract with email address and telephone number. Notice, Response Due Date, and Points of Contact: This is NOT a Request for Quote or Proposal. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this SSA or reimburse any costs associated with the preparation of responses to this SSA. This Sources sought announcement (SSA) is for planning and market research purposes only, and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government.
