Description

The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) is issuing a Notice of Intent for a Sole Source the award of a firm fixed price contract with Eurofins Food Chemistry Testing Madison, Inc. The Military Nutrition Division (MND) of US Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine (USARIEM) has an ongoing research initiative entitled the Ration Analysis Program that aims to accurately catalog the nutritional composition of the current ration components available for purchase and consumption by Warfighters both in theater and during training scenarios. The contractor will provide chemical analytical services to include the sample preparation, weighing of package contents, and chemical food analysis of samples (pre storage, post storage, vitamin D, amino acid profile, and omega fatty acid profiles) provided by USARIEM of Meal, Ready-to-Eat (MRE) XXXIII and Unitized Group Ration-Express (UGR-E)/Heat and Serve (H&S) in 2 Phases. The estimated period of performance for this acquisition is one year with four one-year options for a total of five years. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. Responsible, interested parties may identify their interest by submitting capability information by Wednesday, November 1, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. EST in order to establish the ability of the responder to meet this requirement. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed contract modification is based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government; information received will be considered for the sole purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not be responsible for any costs associated with responses to this notification. All inquiries must be submitted via e-mail to alicia.maldonadotorres.civ@health.mil.
