Description

This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT.� The Army Contracting Command Aberdeen Proving Ground, Tenant Contracting Division, 6565 Surveillance Loop, Aberdeen Proving Ground MD 21005 has a requirement to procure Roma Plastilina No.1 Green/Grey clay (Ballistic Testing Backing Material) for the Aberdeen Test Center, located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. CLIN 0001: �Contractor shall deliver a quantity of one hundred and twenty (120) cases per quarter (three months) for twelve (12) months, for a total of 480 cases for one year of Roma Plastilina #1 Green/Grey clay, Manufactured solely by Chavant (A Smooth-On company) (Manufacture item #550A).� The cases shall be delivered on or before the fifteenth (15th) day of designated month as outlined in the SOW attached. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed priced sole source purchase order to Smooth-On, Inc, 5600 Lower Macungie Rd, Macungie, PA 18062-9030.� Manufacturer, Chavant, (A Smooth-On company) will provide to Aberdeen Test Center this clay.� The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 339940 and the Business Size Standard is 750. All responses received within 7 days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government.� A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.� Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 1:00 PM EST, 31 October 2022.� Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements.
