- The U.S. Army Contracting Command � Rock Island, is seeking to identify potential System for Award Management (SAM) Database registered business that can provide the following: Hexagon Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMM) Calibration Service. This announcement is for information and planning purpose only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. NO AWARD will be made from this Sources Sought Notice. This is NOT a request for proposal. Particularly, the purpose of this NOTICE is to gain knowledge of potential (SAM) Database register businesses interested and capable of performing this work. NAICS CODE: 811310 - Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance PSC: J036 � Industrial Products Install / Maintenance / Repair SIZE STANDARD: $11 Million DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Vendor is to provide Calibration and PC-DMIS software updates on Hexagon CMM Macines when required.� The services will be required on eight (8) Hexagon CMM machines located at Crane Army Ammunition activity (CAAA), Crane, IN. Some of the specifications include: 1) The calibration shall be performed per the American National Standard ASME B89 test method per ISO 17025 and ANSI Z540.1 and conform to the original manufacturer specifications.� 2) The standards used by the contractor shall be traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). 3) The contractor conducting he calibrations shall be an ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) accredited calibration laboratory to the ISO/IEC 17025 standard.� 4) The contractor must be able to complete repairs on CMMs that cannot be calibrated� because they are in need of repairs. SUBMISSION DETAILS: All interested, responsive and responsible SAM Database registered businesses are encouraged to participate in this Market Research by emailing the requirement information below to the point of contact listed on this announcement. Interested businesses must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) Database at www.sam.gov. Email submissions are required. Interested businesses shall include the following information to be considered for market research purposes: Company Name, Address, SAM Unique Entity ID/CAGE Code, current business size (e.g. Small or Large business) Brief synopsis of interest and a capabilities statement indicating the contractor can meet the requirements Point of contact information including name, phone number and email address.
