- Notice ID: Please note that the original Notice ID for this contract opportunity was:�AAQ-210-ASDE3_SMR. Objective:� The purpose of this RFI is to release a draft SMR4 Statement of Work (SOW, Section C), in addition to draft Sections M and L as aids to industry to gain insight into this planned procurement.� This is an effort to promote open communication with industry in order to improve the quality of the subsequent Screening Information Request/ Request for Proposal (SIR/RFP).� Additionally, the RFI solicits cost/price feedback.� The purpose of the RFI questions posed is to gather cost information and trends, including assumptions and ROM costs to: (i) develop and test the SMR4 interface, (ii) remove and dispose of the ASDE-3 SMR, and� (iii) design and install a tower cover with antenna mount.�� Background:� The SMR4s will be installed at up to 34 locations. �The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) expects to utilize a largely Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) system to replace the existing ASDE-3 SMRs. The FAA anticipates the requirement to include the purchase of Surface Movement Radar systems, and to integrate it into the FAAs existing Surface Surveillance Systems.� The detailed procurement requirements comprise the following, but are not limited to these items: Procurement of the SMR4 hardware and software; Development of an interface between the SMR4 and the Surface Surveillance Systems in accordance with the SMR4 Interface Requirements Document (IRD) (Attachment 3); Testing the SMR4 to verify it meets all requirements in the SMR4 System Specification Document (SSD) (Attachment 2); Hardware and software data rights for SMR4 sustainability; Installation and integration of the SMR4 at designated locations, including; a.) Removal and disposition of the existing ASDE-3 SMRs; and b.) Design and installation of a cover to seal the tower roof after ASDE-3 antenna removal and provide a mounting location for the SMR4 Antenna; and� Provision of support services for Program Management, System Engineering, System Design and Development, System Test and Evaluation, Training, Production, Implementation, Integrated Logistic Support, Engineering Services, and General Engineering/Technical Services.
