- Description
- The intent of this notice is to identify potential bidders/offerors. The Naval Facilities Engineering System Command (NAVFAC) Far East, Public Works Department (PWD) Sasebo, Facilities Engineering and Contracting Division (FEAD), Contracting Branch is currently seeking interested contractors who are willing to provide bid/proposal for the following project, �Repair and Replace of Vertical Transportation Equipment (VTE) Systems� at the Various Locations, U.S. Fleet Activities, Sasebo, Japan (CFAS). The Government intends to award a contract which is Indefinite-Delivery and Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) type for 5 years. The requirement is to replace, repair and/or modify the existing elevator systems within CFAS. An example of a typical specification is attached, see the Specification (DRAFT) (Attachment (1)). The Manufacturer of Existing Elevator systems along with a sampling of the known current defects are described in �Sample VTE REQUIREMENTS� (Attachment (2)).� There may be a requirement for the contractor to provide for a full replacement of elevator and other related equipment in accordance with the Specifications. Work locations include Main Base and Hario Housing Area. The complete requirement is planned to be announced via SAM at https://sam.gov on/or about 01 April 2023. If you are capable of and interested in performing this requirement, please complete and submit Contractor Information (Attachment (3)). Please provide any comments/recommendations/questions in this form. The response will be used as market research to help determine the acquisition method utilized by the Government for this requirement. In order to be eligible for any U.S. Government award, contractor must register in �System for Award Management� (SAM) at https://sam.gov and must have a valid CAGE code number. Interested contractors are encouraged to begin the registration process as soon as possible.
