- This is a sources sought request only, not a solicitation announcement. The basis of this sources sought/Request for Information (RFI) notice is to engage with interested vendors and will be used solely for informational and planning purposes.� This posting is NOT a Request for Proposals (RFP) or a Request for Quotation (RFQ), and in no way obligates the Government to award a contract nor is the Government responsible for any costs incurred in furnishing information provided under this notice. No basis for claim against the Government shall arise as a result from a response to this RFI or Government use of an information provided.� Further, The Coast Guard is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals.� No proprietary, classified, confidential, or sensitive information should be included in your response to this notice.� The Government reserves the right to use any information provided by respondents for any purposed deemed necessary and legally appropriate, including using technical information provided by respondents in any resultant solicitation.� Responses will assist the Government in determining the availability of potential solutions and commercial products in the market. At this time no solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation.� It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor this site for additional information pertaining to this requirement. The United States Coast Guard (USCG) Aviation Logistics Center (ALC) is conducting market research to find a vendor capable of providing calibration, function testing, repair, technical/engineering support services and supply sparing to effectively support the RT-6 Rotortuner, RT5JS+ Rotortuner, RT-JEMS Jet Engine Monitoring System, associated software and firmware, and a variety of adapter and interface devices manufactured by Helitune, Inc (3KKA6). The USCG is not seeking a contractor to perform these services on piece parts, but the entire kits. The RT-6, RT-5JS+ Rotor Track and Balancing (RTB) equipment, and RT-JEMS Jet Engine Monitoring System monitors vibration and balance levels on the MH-65 helicopters, HC130, and HC144 fixed-wing aircraft. The USCG does not own, nor can it provide specifications, plans, drawings or other technical data.� These items will be solicited by Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) part number thus no substitutions will be given consideration. Reconditioned/Used Material is not acceptable. Suppliers shall be able to provide necessary certifications including traceability to the OEM to ensure parts meet the USCG�s requirements. Traceability means that the supplier must be able to show clear, documented, auditable paper trail for ownership and transfer of each part from the OEM to the final vendor. When responding to this RFI, please include the following information: Is you company certified by the OEM to provide the Calibration, Repair, Engineering Services and Supply Sparing needed to support the RT5JS+ Rotortuner Kits and the RT-JEMS Jet Engine Monitoring System? Is your product listed on General Services Administration (GSA) schedule? Is your firm a certified hub zone firm, woman-owned operated, or certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned?� If so, indicated which apply. Do you have other Government/military agencies using the product, and if so which agencies, POCs and contract numbers? Responses to this notice should include company name, address, telephone number, and point of contact (POC). After the review of the responses to this sources sought announcement, and if the USCG still plans to proceed with the acquisition, a solicitation announcement will be published on the Contracting Opportunities website, https://sam.gov Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not adequate response to any future solicitation announcements.� All interested offerors will have to respond to the solicitation in addition to responding to this source sought synopsis.� Responses to this sources sought synopsis are NOT a request to be added to a prospective offeror�s list or to receive a copy of the solicitation.
