- Page 2 of 2 SPECIAL NOTICE NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE Analyzer and Test Reagents The Department of Veterans Affairs, The Louis Stokes Cleveland Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 10701 East Boulevard, Cleveland, Ohio 44106 intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The NAICS code is 334516 with a small business size standard of 1,000. The VA intends to solicit and negotiate with Werfen USA LLC, 113 Hartwell Ave., Lexington, MA 02173 for Analyzer and Test Cartridges. This contract will be a Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery, and Indefinite Quantity Contract with a base year and four (4) option years if applicable. The Gem 5000 only uses one cartridge, is already in use by the emergency and operating room. Other persons may identify their interest by responding to this requirement by Monday, November 7, 2022, at 5PM EST. Such capabilities information will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
