- Description
- The U.S. Department of Transportation, John A. Volpe National Transportation Systems Center (DOT/Volpe Center) Cambridge, MA, intends to solicit and award a purchase order on a competitive basis.� The Volpe Center is working with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) to conduct testing on the beta version of Traffic Noise Model (TNM) 3.2 to identify bugs, issues, missing features, workflow needs, or documentation coverage in the TNM 3.2 software and documents prior to release to the public for wider use.� The contractor shall demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the TNM Version 3.1 and the FHWA Consistency Test as well as conducting project level noise analyses for FHWA and State DOTs. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order as a result of the solicitation. �The period of performance will be from date of award to May 31, 2023. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 541511; the Small Business size standard is $30.0M. This pre-solicitation notice is for information only and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to solicit contractual offers or award contracts. �Any information provided by industry to the Government as a result of this notice is voluntary.� Prior to release of the formal solicitation, the Government is not soliciting, nor will it accept, proposals as a result of this notice.� The Government will not pay for any documentation provided in response to this notice and documentation received will not be returned to the sender. Telephone calls made in place of the required documentation will not be accepted. When the solicitation is issued, it will be announced under Contract Opportunities via the System for Award Management (SAM) website (https://sam.gov/) and interested parties must comply with that announcement. �All questions received will be documented and published in an amendment to this Notice.
