Description

THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE, NOT A REQUEST FOR A PROPOSAL, A SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE REQUESTED. The US Army Contracting Command-Aberdeen Proving Ground, Edgewood Contracting Division, Ft. Detrick Branch, intends to negotiate on a noncompetitive, sole source basis, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) ""Only one or a limited number of responsible sources and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements"", with Emergent Biodefense Operations Lansing LLC, 50 Shawmut Rd, Canton, MA 02021 to purchase doses of Emergent�s BioThrax Pre-Exposure Indication drug.� NAICS Code is 325414 and size standards is 1,250 employees. BioThrax is the Government�s only Anthrax Vaccine Absorbed (AVA) approved for the Strategic National Stockpile and is only available through the manufacturer, Emergent BioDefense Operations. In the event a contractor doesn't agree with this Notice of Intent and feel that they can supply the required drug, please submit your capabilities statement, along with any documentation that substantiates that you are authorized to provide the Government doses of Emergent�s BioThrax to the contacts listed on this notice.
