Description
Parking Spaces for U.S. Government Vehicles and Essential Personnel of the Manhattan Campus of NYHHCS Introduction/Background The VA New York Harbor Healthcare System (NYHHCS) is dedicated to providing quality health care to veterans using the abilities of all employees supported by our commitment to education and research. We are recognized locally, regionally, and nationally as a leader in quality patient care, positive customer service, medical/allied health education, health-related research and employment opportunities. We seek to be the provider of choice of veterans and the community by offering an efficient, integrated quality health care system capable of providing a full range of primary, specialty and chronic health care services in a system that is readily accessible and responsive to change. Our key business drivers are quality, financial integrity, patient satisfaction and employee satisfaction. Scope of Work The purpose of this procurement is to enter into a 6-year contract to secure 75 parking spaces needed to replace the ones that would be lost due to the CFM Major Project. The New York Harbor Healthcare Service Manhattan Campus (VA NYHHCS) needs those parking spots to include cars, minivans and SUV for staff during the construction phase of renovation projects throughout the Medical Center buildings, beginning February 1, 2023. VA NYHHS is seeking a contract for parking services nearby the Manhattan Campus for a period of six years. Contractor will provide parking spots to encompass twenty-four (24) hours of coverage. Parking spots to include cars, minivans and SUVs shall be maintained within one (1) location/facility. Parking spots shall accommodate seventy five (75) vehicles. The parking locations should not be further than three (3) city block radius from the medical facility. The parking spots will be available for approved staff seven (7) days a week, twenty-four (24) hours a day. NYHHCS Engineering Transportation Service Employees who handle U.S. Government vehicles and other approved, designated employees i.e. physicians and nurses, will be allowed to park their vehicles during their designated times or through arranged times between staff, contractor and Contracting Officer Representative (COR). The Contractor must assure flexibility between day, night and weekend parking to accommodate VA staff. This agreement should also allow the VA to have multiple staff on different tours use a single spot so as long as no more than 75 spots are used on any single day. The VA should be allowed to submit as many parking permits so long as no more than 75 parking spots are used on any single day. Period of Performance The parking spots should be available from February 1, 2023 until January 31, 2029 Place of Performance Place of performance will be the designated parking location provided by the contractor not to exceed three (3) city block radius from the medical facility.
