F-35 REPAIR BUILDING 420 Category: Y1BZ� NAICS Code: 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction� Contract: 115th Fighter Wing, 3110 Mitchell Street, Madison, WI 53704, POC: Major Dave Mattila� Synopsis: F-35 REPAIR BUILDING 420 The purpose of this sources sought is to gain knowledge of potential sources for this project including interested Small Business sources. �This notice is for planning purposes only. �No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this notice or any follow up information requests. All interested parties should respond. � The 115th Fighter Wing intends to issue a solicitation and award a firm-fixed price construction contract repair Building 420 in support of the F-35 Unit Conversion. The magnitude of this project is estimated to be between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. �All interested concerns will provide this office, in writing, a notice stating their positive intent to submit a proposal as a prime contractor no later than time/date specified in SAM.gov posting. �This notification, which shall not exceed five typewritten pages, must include ALL of the following: (1) Positive statement of intent to bid as a prime contractor� (2) A completed and signed Source Sought Information Request Form (Attached)� (3) A listing of projects completed during the past six years, both for government and private industry. �The type of project, dollar value, contract number, location, and point of contact are to be included. �Indicate if you were prime or subcontractor, and if subcontractor, provide the name and point of contact for the prime contractor. � (4) A brief outline of resources, subcontractors, and key personnel that would be used to accomplish the contract. In the event adequate Small Business contractors are not available for adequate competition for this project, it may be advertised as unrestricted. �Information shall be provided via email to: dave.mattila.2@us.af.mil. �Include the following in the subject line: Sources Sought W50S9F-23-R-0006. � No facsimile responses will be honored. PROGRAM DETAILS: The 115th Fighter Wing at Dane County Regional Airport -Truax Field, Madison, WI is conducting market research seeking capable sources for services, non-personal, to provide all plant, labor, transportation, materials, tools, equipment, appliances, and supervision necessary to construct project XGFG181019 F-35 Repair Building 420 facility. This project is to repair the existing Building 420 to be compatible with the F-35 mission, enabling capabilities to support the Aircraft Maintenance Group. Building 420 will require changes and upgrades to the existing systems and spaces within the facility to provide adequate Aircraft Maintenance Group office, meeting and storge space on base for the F-35 Unit Conversion. The existing aircraft organization shop maintenance (warm storage), and weapons system management flight (admin) need to be modified and right-sized to accommodate changes from the F-16 to the F-35 mission. As a result of the unit conversion, avionics previously occupied the space in building 420 but the facility is being converted to house the Maintenance Group leadership and administrative staff as well as Lockheed Martin contract personnel. �Building 420 will also provide �warm� storage capability for aircraft maintenance equipment (AME). �This project will be registered with the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). All work will be in accordance with design requirements, specifications, and drawings provided within the master specifications. This solicitation will result in a single construction contract.
