- INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE TO SDVOSB under Pursuant to 38 U.S.C 8127(b), COs may use other than full and open competition when awarding to SDVOSB and VOSB firms for procurements under the SAT. Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 7, 700 19th ST S, Birmingham, AL 35233 intends to award a firm-fixed price sole source contract to Virsig LLC. under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(c): ""Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The proposed procurement is for Lenel Licensing for Readers and Cameras Services at Birmingham VA Medical Center, Birmingham, AL. The contract may be for a period of one year plus the possibility of four one-year options periods. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 561621, (Security Systems Services), and the size standard in millions of dollars is 22.0 million. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Please note that Lenel S2 is the manufacturer of the sole manufacturer of all proprietary implement Lenel products and support services serving Birmingham VA Medical Center. Lenel S2 direct service branch office authorizes Virsig LLC., SDVOSB to reseller and distributer Lenel products and support services. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
