Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons: Metropolitan Detention Center located at Brooklyn, NY is requesting freight elevator repair immediately. Below you will find the information necessary to generate a quote. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NOTES: Remove the existing obsolete MCE controller (Drawing #97-12741-1-1, dated 31-19-97) Replace with a new MCE 2000 controller hydraulic controller (3 floors) Replace all Wiring to communicate with� automatic freight doors (Courion Model E, job # 54-42574R) Properly adjust all car doors The awarded contractor is responsible to ensure that the new controller has proper electrical voltage / amps, and dimensions of the old controller. The new elevator controller must meet New York City code requirements to include proper operation of phase one and two of the firefighter recall system. Submit their quote. 3. Be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM), http://www.sam.gov prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation. Review and comply with the attached Service Contract Act WD #2015-4187 for appropriate wage determinations. 5.�Contractors shall send proof of insurance. Contractors�shall�carry�insurance�under the following circumstances: �(a)�(1)�The Government requires any contractor subject to Cost Accounting Standard (CAS) 416 (48 CFR 9004.416) to obtain�insurance, by purchase or self-coverage, for the perils to which the contractor is exposed, except when- ����������������(i)�The Government, by providing in the contract in accordance with law, agrees to indemnify the contractor under specified circumstances; or ����������������(ii)�The contract specifically relieves the contractor of liability for loss of or damage to Government property. �����������(2)�The Government reserves the right to disapprove the purchase of any�insurance�coverage not in the Government�s interest. �����������(3)�Allowability of the�insurance�program�s cost�shall�be determined in accordance with the criteria in�31.205-19. ������(b)�Contractors, whether or not their contracts are subject to CAS 416, are required by law and this regulation to provide�insurance�for certain types of perils (e.g.,�workers� compensation).�Insurance�is mandatory also when commingling of property, type of operation, circumstances of ownership, or condition of the contract make it necessary for the protection of the Government. The minimum amounts of�insurance�required by this regulation (see�28.307-2)�may�be reduced when a contract is to be performed outside the�United States�and its�outlying areas. When more than one agency is involved, the agency responsible for review and approval of a contractor�s�insurance�program�shall�coordinate with other interested agencies before acting on significant�insurance�matters. Evaluation factors are past performance, lowest price, and delivery time. Best value determination method will be used to make awards. The government will award to the responsible contractor whose quote is conforming to the solicitation. A site visit is scheduled for:�Friday, December 16, 2022 at 10:00 AM.�The address is 80 29th St, Brooklyn, NY 11232.�Contractors are not required to attend the site visit but are recommended to do so.�Please submit your quotes to b2rodriguez@bop.gov�by�Friday December 23, 2022 at 12:00 pm.
