- DESCRIPTION:� NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE EXTENSION The 30th Contracting Squadron at Vandenberg SFB, CA intends to extend performance on the existing Launch Support Services (LSS) contract on a sole source basis, from 01 April 2023 and potentially ending 31 December 2023, to Valiant Technical Services, Inc. The Government contemplates the proposed extension to consist of one (1) six (6) month base and one (1) three (3) month option. Reference FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Valiant Technical Services, Inc. currently performs requirements for LSS under contract FA4610-18-C-0001. �30 CONS is working to award a new LSS requirement, and a competitive acquisition is currently underway. The follow-on acquisition has encountered some delays, and this sole source extension award to Valiant Technical Services, Inc. will allow uninterrupted service until the follow-on contract has been awarded. The requirement provides launch support services (LSS) to include launch facility (LF) refurbishment, corrosion control services, vehicle issue and control, equipment issue and control, environmental management, program management, and training management services for the 377th Test Evaluation Group (TEG), formerly 576th FLTS. The loss of LSS poses an immediate risk due to impact on mission support operations. Valiant Technical Services, Inc. currently has all required certifications, clearances, and capabilities required to perform required services; is familiar with established processes and procedures; and is eligible for contract award under all applicable laws and regulations. �Due to the critical nature of the LSS requirements and the need for uninterrupted service, it is in the Government's best interest to award a sole source extension to Valiant Technical Services, Inc.
