Description

This is a notice of intent, not a request for a quotation. A solicitation document will not be issued and quotations will not be requested. The National Institute of Health (NIH), Clinical Center (CC), intends to solicit a quote and enter into firm-fixed price with Residence Inn, Marriott, Bethesda, MD. The purpose of the acquisition is to procure lodging.� The NIH Clinical Center is a unique medical facility in that all patients are enrolled on a research protocol.�� Some of the research participants/(patients), some with medical guardians, travel from across the country or other parts of the world to participate in a research study.�� These individuals may have extended stays in the local area while they are being seen at the NIH Clinical Center.� The NIH may offer eligible research participants hotel accommodations.� The period of performance is 6 months.� This acquisition is being conducted using policies unique to the acquisition of commercial items prescribed in FAR Part 12, in conjunction with the policies and procedures for the competition requirements of Part 6. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this posting. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Comments to this announcement, referencing this posting number, may be submitted to the CC, Office of Purchasing and Contracts, prior to the closing date, January 2, 2023 at 12:00 PM EST specified in this announcement, electronically to the attention of Susan Nsangou, Contracting Officer, susan.nsangou@nih.gov by the due date and time marked in this notice.
