Description
12/29/2022-��The solicitation will be issued on or about 5 January 2023, with a new response date of 7 February 2023. Project consists of dredging 700,000 cubic yards of material from the Federal channels in Newport Bay Harbor and placement at offshore disposal site LA-3.� Option items for additional work under this contract include construction of a Confined Aquatic Disposal (CAD) Facility by dredging 280,000 cubic yards and placement of that material in a nearshore placement area as well as dredging of 140,000 cubic yards of material from the Federal channels and placement into the CAD. In accordance with Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations sub-part 236.204(iii), the estimated magnitude of this project is: Between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000. The total contract performance period is estimated at 250 calendar days. This acquisition is being solicited as an Unrestricted IFB and will be awarded under FAR Part 14 Sealed Bidding. The solicitation will be issued on or about 5 January 2023 with a tentative bid opening date of 7 February 2023. The anticipated award date is within 14 days of the bid opening date. Sub-contracting plans are required for all construction contracts awarded to a large business when the award amount exceeds $1,500,000.00. If the offeror is a large business, the firm will be required to submit a subcontracting plan as part of its proposal package. Plans and specifications will not be provided in hard paper copy.
