SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS: Sources Sought Number:������������������ �������������������� ����������� Notice Type: N42158-23-RC-30309������������������������������������������������������������ Sources Sought Synopsis: 1.� NOTICE:� This is not a solicitation but rather a Sources Sought Synopsis to determine potential sources for information purposes only. 1.1 The purpose of this Sources Sought is to conduct market research to determine if responsible sources exist, to assist in determining if this effort can be competitive, and/or a total Small Business Set-Aside. The Government is interested in all small businesses to include 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Hubzone, and Women-Owned small business concerns. The proposed North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 812332 Industrial Launderers, which has a corresponding Size Standard of $41.5M, and Product or Service Code, (PSC) of S209 � Housekeeping Laundry/ dry-cleaning. The Government requests that interested parties respond to this notice if applicable and identify your small business status to the identified NAICS code. Additionally, please provide a capabilities statement, confirming your availability to provide the described service/supplies. 2.� Program Details: Requirement Need: The objective of this task order is to obtain a five (5) year contract for the rental of Lab coats and service cleaning for the laboratory division at Norfolk Naval Shipyard. Performance and physical properties of provided lab coats will be as follows: Performance Characteristics. The garments supplied as protective laboratory coats shall be chemical/fluid resistant comprised of polyester or similar material and laundered under a process in which will not compromise safety for intended use. The garments supplied as flame resistant laboratory coats shall be flame retardant as well as chemical resistant and laundered under a process in which will not compromise safety for intended use. The garments supplied shall fit all analysts properly to enhance safety of all personnel wearing the garments. Physical Characteristics. The garments supplied for protective laboratory coats shall be chemical/fluid resistant on at least the front and sleeve area. The garments supplied for protective laboratory coats shall have concealed snap closures on the front of the garment. The garments supplied for protective laboratory coats shall have a throat-guard type collar with adjustable snap closures for neck protection. The garments supplied for protective laboratory coats shall have elastic cuffs. The garments supplied for protective laboratory coats shall have three pockets in total. Left chest and two lower pockets. The garments supplied for flame resistant laboratory coats shall be chemical/fluid resistant as well as flame resistant. The garments supplied for flame resistant laboratory coats shall be constructed from Nomex� and Westex� materials or equivalent. The garments supplied for flame resistant laboratory coats shall have knit cuffs. The garments supplied for flame resistant laboratory coats shall have concealed snap closures. The garments supplied for flame resistant laboratory coats shall have three pockets in total. Left Chest and two lower pockets. The garments supplied for all laboratory coats shall be dark in color, preferably navy blue, and include a company logo and analysts first initial and last name. Lot I � First Year Effort All laboratory coats furnished will be delivered in a freshly laundered, pressed state � free of stains, rips/tears, and will have the proper number of snaps required for the garment. The contractor shall provide lab coats for forty-nine (49) individuals requiring chemical resistant coats, and six (6) requiring flame resistant coats with chemical splash protection. All coats shall be fitted by the company to the individual and supplied with proper company logo and individual name (see chart with employee name in enclosure 1). The contractor will maintain inventory, SWING SET of garments per employee. This set will include three coats for: one (1) every week for work, one (1) pick-up day, and one (1) rotating under laundering process. To ensure traceability of lab coats, the contractor will mark each lab coat (in the collar area), with an employee number that is specific to that individual. Estimate laundry usage is 55 Lab Coats for every week. The contractor shall provide garment protection which shall allow for replacement lab coats that have been compromised. Contractor delivering all garments for weekly laundering shall have base access to Norfolk Naval Shipyard and Naval Station Norfolk. Lot II � Second Year Effort All laboratory coats furnished will be delivered in a freshly laundered, pressed state � free of stains, rips/tears, and will have the proper number of snaps required for the garment. The contractor will maintain inventory, SWING SET of garments per employee. This set will include three coats for: One (1) every week for work, one (1) pick-up day, and one (1) rotating under laundering process. To ensure traceability of coats, the contractor will mark each lab coat (in the collar area), with an employee number that is specific to the individual.
