Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District intends to place a brand name specification for (Overly Door Co.) Explosive Chamber Door into RFP W9127823R0008 in accordance with FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their capability to respond to the requirement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals or an announcement of a solicitation; however, all information received within fifteen (15) days after publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to include this proposed brand name specification based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Directorate of Contracting, is conducting a market survey to identify sources for the brand name requirement of (Overly) Explosive Chamber Door. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, anticipates a future procurement for the construction of a new Advanced Dynamics Chamber (ADC-50) Facility as part of the Advanced Munitions Technology Complex at the High Explosives Research and Development (HERD) sector at Eglin AFB. The ADC-50 is a hardened research laboratory that is subject to deliberate and repetitive explosion testing for Net Explosive Weights (N.E.W.) up to 50lb. The building will be one story with a high bay over the blast chamber and observation room. Approximately four full time personnel will occupy the building. The facility is approximately 10,247 sf. The use of the (Overly) blast chamber door for this project is essential to meeting the Government's requirement, thereby precluding consideration of another product. Contractors who can provide the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers with the required (Overly) blast chamber door for this project are invited to electronically submit an affirmative, written response indicating a bona fide ability to meet this specific requirement. Responses should appear on company letterhead and include, at minimum, affirmation of active registration in System for Award Management (SAM), your Data Universal Number System (DUNS) number, any applicable processed credentials and qualifications, and any applicable pricing data or information. All responses should include a point of contact, telephone number, and electronic email address. Additionally, respondents should indicate whether they are a large business, small business, small, disadvantaged business, 8(a) concern women-owned small business, HUBZone, service-disabled veteran-owned small business, or qualify as socially economically disadvantaged and whether they are U.S. or foreign owned. Responses to this notice will be used to determine the availability of this product. All responsible sources may respond to this synopsis and all responses will be considered by the agency. The Government will not pay for any material provided in response to this notice nor return the data provided. Responses should be emailed to the contacts identified in SAM.gov no later than 2:00 PM CST, 26 January 2023. No other forms of transmission are requested or will be accepted.
