Description
Request for Proposal for the repair of AN/ALQ-172 Electronic Warfare(EW). This is a Firm Fixed Price requirements contract with five (5) one year ordering periods is for the Teardown, Test and Evaluation(TT&E) and Repair of the AN/ALQ-172(V) Voltage Controlled Oscillator (VCO) subassembly, NSN 5988-01-466-2960EW.�The AN/ALQ-172(V) VCO is an unclassified subcomponent within the ALQ-172 LRU-10.�The AN/ALQ-172 EW System is described as being a ""combat proven"" system. System design features include full automation, multi band coverage, simultaneous multiple threat recognition and jamming, and digital computer control,advanced jamming techniques, a high effective radiated power value, threat re-programmability, a high-gain antenna array, a threat warning display, dual Military Standard (MIL-STD)-1553B data bus interfaces and extensive built-in test capabilities. This acquisition is sole source to Crane Electronics, Inc. ( CAGE: 33025) OMBUDSMAN: All potential offeror(s) should contact identified as the primary and alternate POC in this post for additional information and/or to communicate concerns, if any, concerning this acquisition. The anticipated release date of the RFP: 27 February 2024; anticipated response/proposal due date: 27 February 2023. If the Contracting Officer does not satisfy your concerns, an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear serious concerns that are not resolved through established channels. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the Program Director or Contracting Officer, but to communicate serious contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
