Description
The United States Army Corps of Engineering (Corps), Great Lakes and Ohio River Division, Chicago District, Civil and Cost Engineering Section is performing market research by seeking small business capabilities. Interested small businesses located within, or in close proximity to the Chicago District, are encouraged to submit response to assist the Government with a small business set-aside decision. Some of the existing Sheetpile within the McCook levee has corrosion damage.� USACE is seeking small business capable of installing steel plates over corroded areas of the SSP and providing protective paint to the remainder of the SSP.� The contractor will be responsible to adhere to all environmental criteria, excavation and soil handling requirements, and waste disposal requirements. The contractor will also be responsible for quality control, safety, and related construction activities. See attached map .pdf. Estimated Advertisement Date: �August 2023 Estimated Award Date: September 2023 Estimated Performance Period: 10 months Estimated Cost: �Between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. If capable, please response with the following information by the response date to the Point of Contact (POC): 1.For each project, include: a. Current percentage of construction complete and the date when it was or will be completed. b. Scope of the project� c. Size of the project. d. The portion and percentage of the project that was self preformed. 2.�Subcontracting Needs:� Include in your response, what work your firm can self-perform and what would your firm would need to subcontract. 3. Provide Your (PM) contact information: 4. Small Business Profile: a. Small Business size and classification b.Unique Entity Identifier: The Government will evalaute response to assess sources capability using the following criteria: �a.�Projects similar in scope to this project.� Similar in scope considers the type of work, installation of steel plates and coating steel sheetpile along a river. �b.�Projects similar in size to this project.� Similar size will consider how much (i.e. footage) of repair steel sheet pile work performed coating and repair work, and dollar value of those projects. The Government will not reimburse any business for any response to this sources sought market research inquiry.�
