THIS SOURCES SOUGHT IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY.� THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. IT DOES NOT CONSTITIUTE A SOLICITATION AND SHALL NOT BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT. RESPONSES IN ANY FORM ARE NOT OFFERS AND THE GOVERNMENT IS UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO AWARD A CONTRACT AS A RESULT OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. ANY INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY RESPONDENTS TO THIS TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION IS STRICTLY VOLUNTARY. This Sources Sought notice is being posted to satisfy the requirements of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement 206.302-1(d). The Naval Air Systems Command Patuxent River (NAVAIRSYSCOM) intends to award a contract for the procurement of FY24-26 Tactical Air Navigation (TACAN) requirements. This procurement will include TACAN AN/URN-32 Upgrade Kits, URN-32 Remote Control Status Unit (RCSU) Upgrade Kits, AN/URN-33 Beacon Kits, OE-4691 Antenna Systems, High Power Amplifier (HPA) Assemblies, Low Power Amplifier (LPA) Assemblies, Remote Monitor Maintenance Control (RMMC) Kits and associated technical data. Thales USA, Inc. is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the TACAN AN/URN-32 and AN/URN-33, and as such, is the only firm that can provide these supplies and services within the required timeframe. THIS IS NOT AN INVITATION FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government will consider all responses received to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. No solicitation will be available for this procurement. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit or award a contract.
