- Description
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Research and Development Center (ERDC), Geotechnical and Structures Laboratory (GSL) intends to issue a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) single source award to G2V Optics Inc. (Cage Code L0LT1) for a full spectrum LED lighting system. The ERDC-GSL needs to purchase a specialized full spectrum LED lighting system to support ongoing and proposed research that requires control over radiation inputs. The system must have a Class AA rating or higher and be able to reproduce the solar spectrum (meeting standard AM1.5G or AM0, <5% spectral mismatch) while also affording the ERDC the ability to prescribe custom spectral distributions within the spectral range covering visible and near-infrared; irradiance control from 0 to 100 % the solar intensity range is also required. The system must be able to illuminate samples that are at maximum 20 x 20 cm in dimension. Programming shall be accomplished through a python language interface. The G2V Optics, Inc. LED lighting system met criteria required to meet end-use compatibility requirements as well as also spectrum-specific standards and features. This lighting system is the only one available on the market that met ERDCs requirement. The award will be issued in accordance with FAR 13.106(b)(1)(i). The applicable North American Industrial Classification System Code (NAICS) code is 334516 (Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing) with a size standard of 1,000 employees.
